With over 30 years in the sports business, Paul Crandell, veteran leader from GoPro and Red Bull, recognized a significant gap in career development for action sports athletes. Over his many  years working with athletes and producing events, Crandell saw a lack of clear guidance across virtually every action sport and a need to create programs to deliver a curriculum to educate up-and-coming athletes and their parents. In May of 2024, Crandell partnered with Sugar Bowl Resort to test his conference concept. With 40 snowsports athletes and the support of 10 professional ski & snowboard athletes, and industry leaders and agents, Solid Ground Pro has launched.
